The premiums shown are standardized figures (typically the age-27 base rate) from CMS data, before subsidies — not the price for any specific person. Your actual premium depends on your age, household, county, tobacco use, and subsidy eligibility. The subsidy figures in our Plan Affordability Lookup are estimates based on the standard §36B applicable-percentage schedule (see our methodology and editorial policy) and are not an eligibility determination. For an official price and credit, enroll through HealthCare.gov or your state marketplace.
Data Limitations
The data reflects the CMS Health Insurance Marketplace Public Use Files for the published plan year (currently 2026) and covers on-exchange marketplace plans. It does not include off-exchange plans, employer coverage, Medicaid, Medicare, or short-term plans. Premiums and benefits can change between plan years and during the rate-filing process. Figures may contain errors inherent in the source data or our processing of it — if you spot one, please tell us and see how we handle corrections in our editorial & corrections policy.
